Zoe is one of the investing experts at Forsyth Barr, and Tempo is powered by the expertise of Forsyth Barr. Being in the research team, Zoe is responsible for analysing and monitoring financial markets, keeping on top of macroeconomic trends that could impact investments. This important role helps Tempo and Forsyth Barr to make key investing decisions when it comes to the advice offered by us!
I have worked in financial services and banking for nearly 20 years, both in New Zealand and London. Much of my career has been spent analysing the broader economic landscape—both domestically and globally—and examining trends across various sectors.
Before joining Forsyth Barr, I was the Chief Economist at Deloitte New Zealand, and prior to that, I held the same role at Kiwibank. My career began in financial markets at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, where I developed a strong base in economic analysis and investment strategy.
I studied economics and finance at the University of Canterbury and later earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification, which deepened my expertise in investment analysis and financial markets.
No two days are the same, which keeps my role interesting! My day often starts by reviewing overnight developments in global markets, followed by our daily team meeting, where we discuss key economic events and announcements from the companies we monitor. From there, my time might be spent writing reports, conducting research to refine our outlook, or engaging with our team of advisers to share insights and strategies.
Recently Zoe met with The Curve’s Sophie and Vic to discuss a range of topics relating to investing. Check them out below!
